My Teacher, My Role model (1)

Teachers follow students through each pivotal stage of development. At six to eight hours a day, five days a week. Teachers are one of the most influential people in a student’s life. The great teachers not only watch students grow, but they help them grow. Teachers who help students grow are responsible for imparting some of life’s most important lessons.

Besides, a role model can be anybody: a parent, a friend, a pastor… but some of our most influential and life-changing role models are teachers. My teacher was my role model. he impacted me in a way that I just wanted to be like him: dress like him, talk like him, in fact, most of the students can not just stop talking about him.

Teachers are founts of experience. They have been where the students are going, undergone what they will go through, and are in a better position to pass along lessons, not only regarding the curriculum but lessons on life.

A great teacher is one with a great soul, one who has the power to transform the human character. I have seen teachers transform lives, give ‘blood’ to a ‘dry’ soul. Teachers indeed are the molders of human destinies.

Nevertheless, a good teacher must possess good character in order to motivate the students positively. The teacher must be a true exemplar of his teachings and morals within the school and outside the school.
